Ellipse Necklace - NL1212X1

This necklace is based on a textured cast piece the design for which has been rolling around in my mind for quite some while now.

That central cast piece weighs 8 grams and accounts for half the cost of the total piece.

Given my recent infatuation with beads as a way to add both gem stones and movement to a piece, I just had to make this one.

This is the first in the series and I love the way it turned out.

There will be more to come in the series developing this theme.

The materials are sterling silver, pink jade, and Botswana agate.

The piece comes on the cotton cord shown in the photo. The cotton cord is finished in sterling with a nice sterling clasp which is not shown in the photo.

To me part of the finishing of a piece is an easy to use closure, so I am careful to use good quality clasps. If you have a friend who likes pink, this is a perfect pendant for her.
