Great Cthulhu Sculpture (Portfolio) - OT0205N0

Every year a make my dad a demon for his birthday. He had moved to an old folk's home when taking care of himself was no longer an option. I found that precious metals have a way of walking away in old folks homes.

So the solution was that I started making his demons in paper mache. Paper mache is quite a change for me to work in.

I like it a lot because I can afford to make big pieces and I can paint them any colour I want.

That year his demon was Great Cthulhu the Elder God from H. P. Lovecraft's horror classic the Cthulhu mythos.

This piece was a lot of fun to make because I got to make it brightly coloured but extra creepy.
