Pazeb Belly Dance Anklet

There's a story behind this anklet.

A friend invited me to her belly dancing recital this Spring. I particularly liked to the costumes and jewellery. So I decided to make some. This anklet was made for a specific image I wanted to create.

Traditional belly dancing gear is decorated with coins. I didn't happen to have a fist full of Middle Eastern silver coins lying around so I made my own sterling silver 'coins'.

By the time everything was created and soldered together I was quite surprised at how much work it was. It was totally worth all the effort though as I love this anklet.
The finished piece has a nice weight to it at 20 grams. It is 9.25 inches in length so it fits a slim ankle.

When the wearer moves the 'coins' move in rhythm to their step flashing and jingling.

This anklet makes the most beautiful sound that catches everyone's attention. This is a very sensuous piece for a very special lady.
