The history of astrology can be traced back to the earliest phases of Babylonian history, in the third millennium BC.

In Babylonia, as well as in Assyria as a direct offshoot of Sumerian culture (or generally the "Mesopotamian" culture), astrology takes its place in the official.   Astrology was one of the two chief means at the disposal of the priests, who were called bare or "inspectors", to reveal the will and intention of the gods, the other being through the inspection of the liver of the sacrificial animal.

Prophets or "Bare" had the power to get the general population to follow the word and advice of the religious leaders of the period by interpreting the gods of the time wishes.

Astronomy is the oldest of the natural sciences, dating back to antiquity, with its origins in the religious, mythological, and astrologicalpractices of pre-history.  Vestiges of these ancient sciences are still found in astrology.

It is a discipline long interwoven with public and governmental astronomy, and not completely disentangled from it until a few centuries ago in the Western World.

In some cultures astronomical data was used for astrological prognostication.

Ancient astronomers were able to differentiate between stars and planets, as stars remain relatively fixed over the centuries while planets will move an appreciable amount during a comparatively short time.

We are not proponents of any of the above information but since many clients ask us for information about their astrological gemstone, we included a chart containing the commonly accepted Astrologically gemstones of each of the Zodiac signs.
