Disengagement Ring (Portfolio) - RG1442X2

This piece was commissioned by a client who wanted me to remake her wedding and engagement rings into something she would love.She told me it was to be her 'Disengagement' ring.

I loved the name and the levels of the play on words.

It was truly challenging and yet rewarding to create this personal statement of survival. The brushed finished on the gold add a lovely finish to the swooping height of the ring face.

I specially ordered an unusually cut Checker-Board Peridot and the effort of the investment in time and cost was worth the 'just right' gem for the centre stone. This accented by a square princess cut garnet.The client was extremely pleased with the finished result and I think it is a favourite of my newer pieces.
