Argyra Ring - RG1440X1

Argyra was a sea nymphs whosee name means the 'Silvery One.' She loved an Achaean man named Selemnus who was transformed into a river. She was one of the Greek Sea Nymphs.

This piece was a custom design based on a carved sea shell a client had purchased and asked me to set in a ring for her. She loved the piece. I combined a custom setting which was based on the piece of the shell's shape, to both reflect it and to make is the star of the setting.The ring setting is quite large but then so was the 'shell piece'. In fact overall weight is just a bit shy of an ounce.

I added a decrative highlight on the side of the setting which I carried overto the band which is a pattern of three identical divisions. I am very pleased with the setting and finished piece猞 as was my customer.
