Idril Ring - RG1365D1
I have several very stylish friends who love pink. As such I am careful to make plenty of pink jewellery. Of course it has to be suitably cool to meet the expectations of its target audience. This ring is precisely such a piece.
The stone is a big pink piece of dichroic glass custom made for this project by glass worker Linda Abbott. Linda made this stone to my specifications and then shipped it to my studio in Canada for me to use in this ring.
This one is big, solid and will hold up to the rigors of a carefree lifestyle. It's the kind of band that will easily last a life time. To complete the coolness value of this ring I introduced matching inward curves on the sides of the band. These make it visually interesting while helping keep the ring sitting correctly on your finger.
This one turned out precisely as planned which was very satisfying. Idril is a Tolkien character name, meaning 'sparkling brilliance.'
It is a stylish ring for a stylish lady who loves pink.
This stone in this piece is dichroic glass and absolutely individual, so, I can definitely make you something similar but not identical.
