Wing Ring - RG1027X1

For several months I had been planning to get a parrot. At the same time I had been thinking a lot about ancient Egyptian jewellery and hieroglyphics.

I have also been tinkering with the notion of claw setting large faceted stones on the sides of cast rings. It seems to have all melded into this series of designs.

Of course me being what I am, just putting nice easy round stones into the rings was too easy. The finished piece has a very organic earthy feel; as if it has just been excavated from the dawn of civilization.

It is definitely one of those rings where no one else in the room will have one like it.
