Dytiscus Pendant - PD1293X1

Dytiscus is Greek for 'able to dive') is a the name of a group of diving beetles that usually live in wetlands and ponds. They are predators that can reduce mosquito larvae.This piece when laid out flat looked like a giant water beetle.

So that is why it became Dytiscus.

It is a very big piece that is quiet heavy having a solid feel to it.

It has designs all over it giving it even more detail, as if the cutouts and added piece with accent beads dangling wasn't enough visual interest.

I love this piece. It is truly unique in every way.
