Eirian Necklace (Portfolio)- NL1168D6

This piece I decided needed a special name. I picked 'Eirian' which is of Welsh origin, and means 'silver' because of the name's ancient feel and this pendant has a solid ancient feel to it.
The stone is a whopping big 10mm round faceted Brazilian amethyst that is full of sparkle and fire. Some of the ancient feel of this piece comes from the chain. It is an 18 inch Italian made sterling silver Byzantine chain.
This pendant was made using pmc, so it is pure silver except for the stone setting which is sterling silver. Working with pmc is a lot like playing with mud, so it was fun to make and it turned out quite well.
This little beauty will make a distinctive addition to either a man or woman's jewellery collection.
