I love the way the Jasper on this piece looks like sky and water meeting the earth and the pretty little coffee coloured pearl adds a decidedly feminine touch to the overall effect created.

Jasper is an opaque and fine grained variety of Chalcedony. It is found in all colors including: red, brown, pink, yellow, green, grey/white and shades of blue and purple. This particular one is called aquaterre.

Jasper was a favorite gem in ancient times and is referenced in Greek, Hebrew, Assyrian and Latin literature.
